A little Christmas color

Cute Christmas coloring pages: 6 free printable designs

Choose six original Christmas coloring pages with individual A4 and US Letter PDFs, a six-page pack and matching colored examples.

In this guide
Small colored Christmas trees, snowmen, gingerbread figures, stockings, ornaments and presents.

Choose a Christmas tree, a scarfed snowman, a gingerbread figure, a stocking, a star bauble or a ribboned present. Each design has a clean black outline with open areas for coloring, an individual A4 or US Letter PDF, and a colored example made from the same outline.

The six-page pack gathers all six blank designs, one per page. Choose a single page if you already know what you want to color. The colored examples are suggestions: the drawing stays the same when you choose a different palette.

Choose a Christmas coloring page

The stocking and star bauble have a few large areas, making them useful when you want a simpler page. The tree has smaller baubles and long garland ribbons; the snowman has hat ribs and two scarf ends. Start with the spaces you want to color rather than assuming every page takes the same amount of time.

Use green for the foliage, one warm color for the garlands and a few bright baubles. Keep the trunk distinct.

Leave the snow white. The hat and scarf offer broad areas for two contrasting colors.

Try a biscuit-colored body with white icing. Color the two buttons before filling the larger body area.

Choose one color for the main stocking and another for its toe and heel. Leave the cuff pale if you like.

Give the star a color that stands out against the wide band. The hanging loop stays open.

Color the broad ribbon first, then the four box areas around it. Keep the bow openings clear.

Download the six-page pack

The A4 and US Letter packs contain the same six outlines. You need only the version that matches your paper. Colored examples stay on this page so the pack gives each blank design a full page of its own.

PDFs open in a new tab. Choose A4 or US Letter to match your paper. Each pack contains the same six blank designs, one per page.

  1. Open the PDF for your paper size and choose the pages you want. The full pack does not need to be printed at once.
  2. Select Actual size or 100% in the print dialog. Turn off browser headers and footers if your viewer offers them.
  3. Check the print preview. The complete design and the small domain credit should sit inside the page, with white space around them.
  4. Print one page first if you are changing paper or printer settings. Check the line clarity and margins before printing the rest.

If the printer crops an edge despite the correct paper size, use its fit-to-printable-area option and inspect the preview again. That slightly changes the drawing size. Use ordinary paper for colored pencils or crayons; check your printer’s supported stock before trying heavier paper. Place a spare sheet underneath if you use a medium that may mark the next page.

Make a small color plan

Pick two or three colors before you begin. Try one main color, one accent and a pale or uncolored area between them. The tree can use green foliage with warm garlands; the stocking can repeat its toe color at the heel; the present’s ribbon can connect the bow to the box.

For the snowman, leaving the two snowballs white lets the hat and scarf do most of the work. On the gingerbread figure, color around the icing bands so the white zigzags remain clear. A soft colored-pencil layer leaves room to make part of a shape darker later.

You can also color a small area on screen as a palette plan, then choose a different combination on paper. These are optional approaches, not a required finished result.

Draw the picture yourself

The Christmas-tree lesson follows the tree in small actions, from the star through the branching tiers to the five baubles. The Christmas drawing collection teaches this snowman and gingerbread figure and links to the complete tree route.
